Michael Ruge supports World Society for the Protection of Animals

Michael Ruge is a successful entrepreneur and a regular participator in charitable organizations in his community. Michael Ernst Ruge is also a great author. His main motive is to work for the benefit and betterment of humanity. Michael Ruge supports World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). WSPA is the world‘s largest alliance of animal welfare societies and has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. WSPA aims to build a world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty ends. WSPA has more than 1,000 member organizations in over 150 countries. WSPA has 15 offices and hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide.

The field and disaster management teams of WSPA provide direct help to the animals that are abandoned, neglected or caught up in natural or man-made disasters throughout the world. WSPA insists that animals should be given proper and appropriate care when they are under the care of humans. The members of WSPA in Canada include the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies, the Animal Defence League of Canada, and many provincial humane societies. WFPA and ISPA were the first organizations to campaign internationally on animal welfare issues such as the Canadian seal hunt, whale hunts, and the international transportation of horses. WSPA emphasizes on four priority animal welfare areas including companion animals, commercial exploitation of wildlife, farm animals and disaster management. WSPA has also campaigned in order to convince governments to change practices and introduce new laws regarding the welfare of animals. WSPA’s education programs aims at bringing a positive change in people’s attitudes towards animals.

Michael’s wife, Elly is an animal lover and at present houses 3 cats and one very lovable golden retriever in the family home. Along with her husband, Elly is also an active member in many local charities. Michael Ruge dedicates considerable time in helping WSPA. He has helped people set up new animal welfare groups with the help of donations given by the supporters in order to work for the welfare of animals. From time to time, Michael Ernst Ruge makes donations for the WSPA and participates in its advocacy campaigns.
